Radda has very ancient origins, the area has been inhabited since 2000 BC and several archaeological structures and objects have been found in the area. In medieval times Radda was the capital of the Lega del Chianti and one of the many feudal villages and castles of this territory.

The position of Radda makes it an ideal destination for the exploration of the Chianti area and is also equidistant to the borders of the cities of Siena, Florence and Arezzo.
