Anna Muzzolini, “Grillo Iole” estate
"The estate was born from the passion of my father Sergio who, in the 70s, bought the first hectare of vineyard to satisfy the desire to be able to enjoy a good glass of genuine and authentic wine with his closest friends. Slowly, over the course of about 40 years, the company has grown and reached its current size of nine hectares.
Now I lead it with a lot of passion and gratitude towards my origins. I feel the bond with the company intensely because it pushed me to make a big change in my life. I worked as a biologist and I did not think that the future held great news, then the growth of the company and the need to dedicate new energy and ideas to it led me to make an important choice in 1999. From my life in Ferrara surrounded by test tubes in Albana di Prepotto surrounded by barrels and vineyards ... I have no regrets!"
Susanna Grassi, “I Fabbri” estate
"As a child I had always thought of taking care of the farm, I also wanted to take the diploma of agricultural expert, but then the course of my life took me elsewhere. I lived a lot abroad, then in 1988 my degree in economics opened the wonderful doors to the world of fashion for me. At the end of the 90s my agricultural destiny begins to come forward through a casual commercial consultancy: this experience brings me back to the old property that we had abandoned for too many years and I am struck by this place now so different, empty and sad, but of a bewildering beauty. Thus began my adventure at I Fabbri. I started without a specific experience, I only had a mountain of good memories and three very clear ideas, namely to restore the right dignity to that place, to produce typical quality wines in the traditional way and to sell bottles with our brand."
